Planning Your First Spring Event? How To Plan For The Party Rentals

by Monica Berry

Now that spring is just a few months away, you can start planning your outdoor activities. If you're in the process of planning your first warm-weather event, now's the perfect time to take care of the party rentals. You might not realize this, but it's always a good idea to arrange for your party rentals at least a month or two in advance. That way, the party supply company has everything you want in stock and ready to go for you. If you've never rented party supplies before, and you're not sure what to do, read the list provided below. Here are some tips that will help your party go off without a hitch.

Plan for All Ages

If you're going to rent things like bounce houses, obstacle courses, and water slides, make sure you plan for all ages. This is especially important if you're planning a family event. You want to provide activities that everyone can enjoy and can participate in. For instance, if you plan to have young children, rent bounce houses that will accommodate them. You also want to rent games and activities that the adults can enjoy as well. After all, adults enjoy water slides and bounce houses too.

Rent a Generator

If you're planning a big backyard event and you want to rent several inflatable activities, don't forget about the power. Depending on how your home is wired, you might not have enough power to keep everything going. Because of that, you might want to rent a small generator as well. That way, you have enough power to keep the inflatables up and running while still maintaining adequate power for your household needs.

Consider the Weather

If you're getting ready for the first big event of the spring, don't forget to consider the weather. You can't get a good weather forecast this far in advance, but you can look back on previous spring weather. If spring typically brings heavy rain and strong winds, you'll want to consider those issues when renting your party supplies. For instance, to prepare for wind, you can request additional tie-downs for your inflatable activities. To prepare for rain, you can add tents and enclosures to your rental list.

Arrange Early Setup

Finally, if you're putting the final details together for your spring party rentals, be sure to account for time. To make sure that everything is ready when your first guests arrive, be sure to schedule an early setup time. You might not realize this, but it can take several hours to get your party set up. The extra time will allow the crew to set up, clean up, and clear out, with plenty of time to spare.
